The popular 2015-2020 VW Golf R and Audi S3 are ready to be
transformed with the precision-engineered iE Catback Exhaust System. This
bolt-on upgrade offers a unique deep rumble at low revs and an aggressive roar
at high RPMs. Proprietary DroneTrap technology eliminates unwanted drones,
ensuring a perfect exhaust sound. Factory valve electronics integrate
seamlessly, allowing full control to switch between subtle and aggressive
modes.
Quad 4” slash-cut tips add a true motorsport style, making
any Golf R or S3 stand out. The aggressive design and sleek brushed finish
provide a distinctive look that catches attention. Depth adjustability enables
customization of the tips to match individual style preferences.
iE's advanced DroneTrap technology captures pulse waves from
the 2.0T engine's exhaust note and channels them into a mathematically tuned
resonator. The internal port is engineered to resonate these waves against each
other, selectively canceling out those that create unwanted drones. The
remaining waves produce deep, enriched exhaust acoustics that enthusiasts
appreciate.
This catback exhaust is designed for sound, durability, and
reliability. Crafted from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, it resists
corrosion, while hand TIG-welded joints ensure lasting strength. A stamped
multi-wall muffler prevents warping, and reinforced hangers secure everything
in place. Bridged piping enhances strength and disperses weight to reduce
stress and vibration. Inspired by high-end OE designs, wide-width stretch
clamps maintain tight, leak-free connections.
Control exhaust volume through factory drive select controls
via the MMI system. Comfort mode keeps the valves closed, routing all exhaust
through the center-mounted muffler to minimize volume while retaining a sporty
tone. Switching to Sport/Dynamic mode opens the valves, allowing exhaust to
bypass the muffler through twin 2.5" pipes for a loud performance rumble.
3D scanning and advanced software provide engineers with a
high-resolution digital model of the VW/Audi MQB chassis. This data maximizes
exhaust flow and optimizes every available space, ensuring a perfect fit with
no rattles or rubbing.
